How do I Purchase Nervos CKB with SafePal in the United States?

Nervos CKB now supports the SafePal wallet. SafePal has support for the following:

• Native CKB Wallet

• Godwoken Wallet

• Portal Wallet DApp (Ethereum Link)

How do I Create a SafePal (Hot) Wallet and Store Nervos CKB?

Let’s now walk through how to purchase CKB using SafePal. We will be using Coinbase to do our initial purchase followed by a swap in SafePal.

Note: You could use Binance.US as well.

Let’s begin by purchasing some Bitcoin on Coinbase.

Let’s now send it to SafePal. First, Open SafePal on your mobile device and tap CKB (Nervos).

After you tap, receive, you can can use the QR code or copy the BTC Address. At this point, you can go back to Coinbase and send your funds to the address you copied here.

Note: I chose Native Segwit to reduce Bitcoin Fees.

Tap Send Now and we will wait until it shows up in our SafePal wallet.

I now have about .0017431 worth of Bitcoin. Next let’s Tap the Swap Button as shown above.

Choose the coins you want to swap and the amount you want and tap Next.

NOTE: SafePal has paused swapping on Layer 1 to CKB temporarily. You will receive this message below.

We can swap to CKB (Godwoken) or Layer 2. The cool thing is once you swap the Bitcoin for CKB (Godwoken), you now have the ability to do Staking Pools or Farming. If you just want to hold CKB, you can withdraw it to Layer 1 and store in your CKB (Native) wallet or send to the Portal Wallet DAPP and stake in the Nervos DAO.

How do I use the Portal Wallet?

Let’s now do the swap to Nervos (Godwoken) as shown below:

Choose the amount and click Next.

Tap Swap.

Now the Magic happens and your funds are swapped from Bitcoin to Nervos (Godwoken) on Layer 2.

Congratulation, you are now the proud owner of CKB using SafePal.
